A newly licensed Digital Payment Institution in Nigeria with strong ties to one of Africa’s largest mobile telecommunications companies is looking for a highly qualified, talented, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual to fill the following positions:

 

Job Title: Chief Information Officer

Ref: ClO

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Set objectives and strategies for the IT department.
  • Establish IT Policies and Standards.
  • Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.
  • Identify best technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers.
  • Responsible for the Information Risk Management.
  • Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization.

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class Upper Division) in Computer, Electrical / Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or other related discipline.
  • A Postgraduate Degree or professional certification in Telecommunication or Engineering Field will be an added advantage.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • History of delivering innovative system solutions and integrations in financial services.
  • Good experience in designing / developing IT systems and planning IT implementation.
  • Proven experience of at least 10 years at a senior IT leadership position. Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure – digital financial systems preferred.
  • A strong strategic and business mindset.

 

Job Title: Market Risk Officer

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily measurement and reporting of probable losses as a result of market risks inherent in bank’s trading positions in equities and bonds using various metrics.
  • Responsible for daily mark to market of various trading rates and prices.
  • Ensure that all the databases maintained by the department as well as other sources are updated and reflective of market rates/prices.
  • Investigate and report off-market rates.
  • Understand the risks and work with the trading desks to create and monitor a suitable limits structure and propose new limits when necessary.

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies              

  • A minimum of First Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Statistics, Econometrics or any other Quantitative Discipline e.g. Engineering. Computer Science is desirable.
  • Possession of MBA or M.Sc. in Finance and Econometrics would be an advantage.
  • Possession of relevant Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, FRM, CFA etc.) would be an added advantage.
  • 3 – 5 years cognate experience in similar functions such as Financial/Treasury Control, Asset and Liabilities Management, Risk Management, etc.
  • Possess adequate knowledge of regulatory requirements in the Nigerian financial services Industry including Basel II requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ALM / Market risk management methodologies & procedures.
  • Sound awareness understanding of trends and recent developments In both the regulatory and supervisory environment of the banking industry.
  • Solid track record in market risk management with significant risk experience built up in management roles in Treasury or Investment banking environment.
  • Proven track record of delivery in contribution to enterprise risk management solutions delivery to business functions.

 

Job Title: Database Administrator

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Data base management, optimization. Back-up and availability.
  • Data base access control and operations.
  • Performance tuning of database systems. Install, upgrade and manage database applications.
  • Service Management: Ensure that all services are implemented and that they operate correctly.
  • Translating requirements into technical design with documentation.

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class Upper Division) in Computer, Electrical / Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or other related discipline.
  • A Postgraduate Degree or professional certification in Telecommunication or Engineering Field will be an added advantage.
  • Work experience of 5 – 7 years in software development, including leading a team of database administrators.
  • Relevant Certifications Oracle I MySQL (OCA, OCP), MCSA / MCSE.
  • Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
  • Strong experience on relational database management, MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server maintenance, Advanced SOL Server, concepts like indexes, stored procedures etc. with an emphasis on database efficiency.

 

Job Title: Application L2 Support Officer

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Access to application and ticket closure, adhoc reporting and dashboards.
  • Analyze and resolve application issues.
  • Act as a key point of contact for operations & development teams to resolve business critical issues.
  • Identity defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of code debugging or log analysis
  • Manage Incidents and effectively communicate with users, application owners, and senior stakeholders across all areas for improvement
  • Identify alerts / processes that can be automated and then work with IT Developer Team in automating them.

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class Upper Division) in Computer, Electrical / Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or other related discipline.
  • A Postgraduate Degree or professional certification in Telecommunication or Engineering Field will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years software development experience
  • Development and scripting for new monitors, adhoc reports.
  • IT application deployment and production validation.
  • LA and OLA Tracking in the address of internal and external Incidents and requests
  • Lead I Own continuous Improvement and service improvements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills and proficiency with technical documentation required.
  • Willing to work in shifts 24×7.

 

Job Title: Software Developer (T24 – Core Platform)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test and implement new software programs for core platforms (T24)
  • Ensure that all services are implemented and that they operate correctly and also ensure that all the relevant monitoring tools are deployed.
  • Respond to escalations from business. Customer-care, merchants and other stakeholders.
  • Prerequisite analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Translate requirements into technical design with documentation.
  • Planning of the implementation of projects.

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class Upper Division) in Computer, Electrical / Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or other related discipline.

Job Title: Software Developer (Application & Integration)

  • Act as L3 applications support, build and develop merchant and Merchant Management Platform integrations.
  • Ensure that all services are implemented and that they operate correctly and also ensure that all the relevant monitoring tools are deployed.
  • Responsible for service improvement deliverable to address systems SLA shortcomings.
  • Respond to escalations from business. customer-care, merchants and other stakeholders.
  • Prerequisite analysis and requirements gathering.

Job Title: Operational Risk Officer

Responsibilities

  • Continuous development of policies and Programs for the management of operational risk in the Bank.
  • Establishment of structures for the risk grading of agents, units, branches. H/O etc.
  • Development of programs for the administration of control and self-assessment questionnaire to the process owners.
  • Risk Identification & Documentation of Controls in New Products, Procedures. SLAS
  • Development of programs for the mapping of products, process, systems and activities in the Bank
  • Proactive identification of emerging Risks in the Bank and the documentation of Controls for the benefit of all stakeholders.
  • Creation of Risk awareness among employees in the Bank.

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

Job Title: Performance Management & Business Intelligence Officer

Responsibilities

  • Measure and evaluate the performance of the Bank, Business & Service Groups, Customers and the bank’s range of products.
  • Analyze the performance of all service groups to determine their alignment with the overall strategy of the bank through the preparation and analyses of relevant performance reports.
  • Assist in Budget Preparation Process.
  • Take the lead In measuring bank wide performance vis-à-vis budget for various Strategic Business Units (SBU) highlighting under or over-performance achievements
  • Ensure that Performance Scorecards are complete and up to date, reflecting actual performance achievements and providing valid drillable supporting data.

  • Minimum of a First Degree or its equivalent in any discipline.

  • Monitor and manage the organization’s bank relationships and liquidity management.
  • Forecast medium and long- term funding and hedging requirements.
  • Daily cash Management and all investment related decisions.
  • Interest rate risk management and development of risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

  • Minimum of a First Degree or its equivalent in a numeric discipline.

  • Minimum of 15 years financial experience with at least 5 years in Treasury Management of a bank or financial institution.

Job Title: Treasury Operations Officer

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise the units made up of Funds transfer, Naira and Reconciliation desks
  • Booking, liquidating and rollover of CALL and FIXED cash deposit
  • Posting of daily trades of securities (T-bilIs, bonds, Money market)
  • Preparation of MIS reports for executive management.
  • Processing of inflows and outflows on RTGS.
  • Reconciliation of CBN internal account, Bonds & Treasury Bills GIs.

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

  • Minimum of a First Degree or its equivalent in a numeric discipline.

Job Title: Dealer (Domestic)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to trading limits; position limits and stop loss limits.
  • Contribute trading ideas / strategies to the trading desks.
  • Ensure that all Treasury trading units comply with internal and regulatory policies and directives
  • Contribute strategically to other treasury areas e.g. Treasury Sales
  • Perform other functions as assigned by the Treasurer.
